Normalizing is a special case of annealing, the effect is similar to annealing, but the microstructure obtained by normalizing is finer. For low or medium carbon steel, normalizing can improve hardness and machinability. For S460MC hot rolled flat medium carbon steel and low alloy steel, normalizing can refine grain and uniform structure and reduce hardness. For high carbon steel and high alloy steel, normalizing can eliminate the network carbide produced by forging and improve the homogeneity of the preparation heat treatment structure.

Our company supply various size and thickness S460MC hot rolled flat, hot rolled plates. Plate thickness is available ranging 3mm to 350mm. Steel coils thickness are supplied in max. 25mm. Tolerances for carbon steel coils for conversion to: For minimum gauge orders, thickness and width tolerances are in accordance with the respective ASTM specifications of A568 for thicknesses of less than 0.230 inches(exclusive), and A635 for thicknesses of 0.230 inches to 1.00 inch, inclusive.
