As the tungsten content increases, the strength and toughness of the NM360 wear-resistant steel plate increase. When the mass fraction of tungsten exceeds 1.06%, the toughness decreases due to the increase in the amount of carbide precipitation. This is because tungsten combines with carbon atoms in the NM360 wear-resistant plate to form a short-range ordered C-w atom pair bond structure. The C-w atomic bond is stronger than the C-Mn and C-Fe atomic bonds. Therefore, after adding tungsten to the NM360 wear-resistant steel plate, cracks will be formed, and the energy required to break the atomic bond will be greatly increased.
